Speakers work great, especially in smaller rooms, and they have a few options for cutting bass frequencies. In more open spaces with proper dampening, I got the impression that bass is a bit lacking, although that checks out with technical specs. If I were to buy these again, I'd probably go with HS 7 version instead.

Reliable Monitors
They sure do not sound fun to listen to for electronic music, at least. But they're great tool for mixing. So I'd say it's more of a mixing engineers' monitor rather than producers'.
