Returned

I selected this to buy based on positive reviews here, but my experience is mostly negative.
Good things: legs are easy to open, they are wide and sturdy,so overall the stand is very stable. That yellow part makes it highly visible under feet, so less chances to stumble onto it.
Bad things:
- upper bracket is too big for my Thomann Alto, so it swivels on one side easily. And this braket is not ment to be adjusted, unless a lot of force to be applied.
- joint of the upright arm to the bottom stand is vobbly, it easily moves back and forth in rather big range, doe not inspire overall stability
- the whole construction is rather big and heavy when folded, no chance to fit it into the sax bell on the carry case
- the carry bag is made of that sinthetic non-vowen material, which is very thin and from my experience self-distruct within 1 year.
All in all - has to return it.

Well, Thomann refunded this stand without return so I continued to use it as a home daily stand. I bent the upper braket by hands to adjust it for my alto and stability is much improved. It still has significant play in joints, but as a permanent home use it's ok. However can't recommed for outer gigs - it's heavy and bulky, not possible to place it inside the sax case like KM Jazz, which is in my wishlist for the times when I start to play out of home.

AK
Really good stand
Alex Krvs 24.11.2022
This is a really good stand. It is really stable and i trust it with my tenor saxophone. I use it for almost 6 months every day and i never had a problem with it.
The only thing i dont like about it is the bottom holder that moves in order to hold different saxophone sizes f.e. alto or tenor. It moves/folds and there is no way to lock it in place, which at first seems fine but if you dont pay any attention you can fold it as you place your saxophone and have the bell rest on the metal part of the stand.
