I've been making my own for, 20 years? (oh my god) now but I have to say these are great. basically 3 layers. a very soft layer that keeps the tension on all the strings, a middle hard layer and some velcro to dampen. look great too

it's a simple thing but it gets the job done

Does exactly what is should
I was wrapping socks or stuffing tissues around my strings. This is a much, much slicker way to achieve the same result.
