Fractal amp modeling at a fraction of the price.
As an owner of an axe fx 3, and both versions of the quad cortex, I must say this pedal really shows what's important (at least to me) . The best amp modeling I've had the pleasure of playing through up until this point, as well as great feeling and response from the modelling architecture. Fractals effects really are on another level in the modelling space and it shows. The ui was easy enough to navigate, making this the simplest fractal experience I've had so far.
That said, the unit is not without it's drawbacks. Four blocks is quite limited as to the complexity of the presets you can set up and definitely won't be able to cater to everyone's needs, the unit is solid and inspires confidence, though it doesn't feel quite as rugged as fractals other offerings.
Switching on the unit stand alone is well thought out, though I recommend using an external midi switcher making operation way more flexible and easier to work around the inherent limitations of the platform.
