Allen & Heath CQ18T

This digital mixer has been a game-changer for me, quickly becoming my go-to mixer, so much so that I bought a second one. Compact and easy to use, with features that I haven't seen on any analog mixer. The sound is clean, and the four effects engines allow you to go deeply into parameter adjustments in the way that you would using a DAW plugin. The ability to save ´scenes` means that I no longer need to sound-check at my regular venues, which makes setting up so much quicker and without needing to disturb the audience who may be listening to ambient music before I go on. A colleague is actually ditching his analog mixer after having performed with mine.

However! ...Both transformers/power-adapters have let me down catastrophically :( ...hence the four stars instead of five (and according to chat on the internet I am far from the only one affected). Before total failure this problem manifests in the mixer's screen dimming, the power loss causing startlingly loud popping sounds via the speakers, before shutting down and apparently restarting... and of course this is DURING LIVE PERFORMANCES! Why have Allen & Heath not addressed this apparently common issue? After the failure of my Allen & Heath transformers I have had to purchase more powerful ones (10A units instead of the original 5A units).
