Dynamic sound, German design
With the GO live!, the Cologne-based in-ear specialist Vision Ears has created a universal in-ear monitor designed for musicians who need accurate sound reproduction and high-quality construction on stage. This model leads with a sound signature that's tailored to live use, combined with a robust aluminium housing and a comfortable fit. At the core of the GO Live! is a hybrid four-way driver system that delivers detailed reproduction across the entire frequency range, making these surprisingly affordable pro-grade IEMs a versatile companion for rehearsals, live performances, and all professional monitoring applications.
Four drivers, balanced sound
For the GO live!, Vision Ears employs a hybrid four-way system consisting of a dynamic bass driver along with three additional drivers dedicated to the low-mid, high-mid, and treble frequencies. This arrangement allows each specific, tuned frequency range to be handled by a dedicated transducer. The result is a powerful low end that provides a solid foundation for drums, bass and electronic instruments – without overwhelming the mids. Vocals and instruments benefit from a present, natural mid-range, while the highs offer excellent detail and resolution. As a result, the GO live! is particularly well suited to working musicians who demand on a clear and controlled monitor mix of an entire band or ensemble on stage.
Solid on stage
The matte-black shell, with its neat purple detailing, is machined from CNC-milled aluminium, gives the Vision Ears GO live! a distinctive appearance while also contributing to the system’s durability in everyday live music settings. The design is complemented by a detachable cable featuring sweat-resistant TPE insulation and conductors made from high-purity 7N copper: This construction combines excellent flexibility with a build-quality that will withstand regular use on stage. For an optimal fit, SpinFit ear tips in sizes S, M and L are included, while a zippered carrying case keeps the in-ear monitor protected during transport. What this means in practice – this combination of high-tech sound tuning and German design quality – is that the GO live! is ideal for musicians looking to make their first investment in a high-quality in-ear monitoring system that doesn’t lack any pro-grade features.
About Vision Ears
Based in Cologne, Germany, Vision Ears has been designing and building high-end in-ear monitors for musicians and audiophiles since 2013. The company was founded by Marcel Schoenen and Amin Karimpour, who brought together technical expertise, practical stage experience, and a distinctive approach to product design. Before founding Vision Ears, Marcel worked in the commercial and technical side of the in-ear monitoring industry, as well as spending over a decade performing as a singer and guitarist. Amin, meanwhile, played a key role in shaping the company's unmistakable design identity. From the beginning, Vision Ears has focused on precision craftsmanship, with particular attention paid to fit, sound quality, and durability. Over the years, that dedication has been reflected not only in an expanding customer base, but also in the continued growth of their flagship store itself.
Hybrid build with balanced armature drivers
With the GO live!, Vision Ears has applied their know-how from building custom in-ears for famous performing artists to land upon an effective combination of different driver technologies; the sound of GO live! takes advantage of the strengths of each kind. A dynamic driver is used for low-frequency reproduction, offering the kind of powerful and natural bass response typical for larger systems. The midrange and treble frequencies, meanwhile, are handled by specially tuned balanced armature drivers – these highly compact transducers are known for their efficiency and their ability to reproduce specific frequency ranges with exceptional precision. For that reason, they are widely used in professional in-ear monitors. By combining multiple specialised drivers, each part of the frequency spectrum can be reproduced more effectively, resulting in greater detail and clearer distinction between individual instruments and vocals.
