Excellent
I used this Meinl Rainstick in the last concert that we played. I needed to create the sound of boats moving through the sea water. When played during the first concert all musicians turned around with surprise. Sound is very good, it has a nice design on it. Highly recommended.

Avoid at all costs, especially if you work with children
This rain stick has these prongs that extend onwards the body of the tube . This results in getting scratches as you are trying to twist the instrument in order to produce the sound. This was not a faulty item, as I got thomann to send me a second one (and I am happy to say they did it as a replacement for free) and still the second item had the same problem. Obviously meinl doesn't take the time to cut the sticks that produce the sound flush to the surface of the bamboo.

Love this beautifull RainStick
First thing I wanted to tell about this rain stick - its appearance. It coloured hand painted handmade which gives some warm feeling of human's contribution in this product. A little art on the little stick. That's very impressive and looks beautiful using it live on stage. Recording it in studio it give warm continuously sound of real rain. That's really cool product for its small price. Love it.

Clear and controllable
I bought this item to add to my soundscapes. it is easy to handle and control the flow of the rain. light but does not feel flimsy.

It is ok, but not great.
It makes an unnatural sound in one end of the stick. Looks like it is a factory defect.

Fun instrument, but requires proper storage conditions
It is a fun instrument to have. However, one must bear in mind, that the wood is not suited for storage in cold dump spaces. After about a year of such conditions cracks have appeared. Obviously, care should be taken.

Rain Stick
Sounds great, the sound lasts long enough before neet to turn around.
