the better duct-tape

Stephan7664 18.02.2014

This tape is a somewhat in-between. It feels like black duct tape, and sticks like real gaffer's tape. Good for surfaces like walls, cables and everything that's more valuable than a cardboard box or rubber floor protection. It sticks well, although a little less than the tesa 4613 initially, but it leaves absolutely no sticky residue and generally doesn't damage paint on walls. On areas with previous damage small pieces can still stick to the tape (the cheap tape caused that damage btw).

If the black matte finish and better structure of the Gerband 258 is not needed, this is a good alternative to save a buck and you from cleaning cables. I won't buy cheap black duct tape any more - unless others have to handle it with their stuff. My equipment ain't worthy of anything cheaper than this ;-)

Versatile and Practical Fabric Tape for Studio Use

Leopoldo Lopes 25.04.2023

The Gerband Tape 250 Black is a must-have in any studio, in my opinion. This fabric tape is incredibly practical and easy to use, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications. I've used it for everything from securing cables to labeling gear, and it has always performed admirably.

One of the things I appreciate about this tape is how versatile it is. The fabric material makes it durable and long-lasting, which is important when you're working with delicate equipment. The adhesive is strong enough to keep things in place but not so strong that it leaves residue or damages surfaces.

Overall, I highly recommend the Gerband Tape 250 Black to anyone looking for a versatile and practical fabric tape for studio use. It's a great investment that will save you time and effort in the long run.

Quality tape for organizing PA cables. It does the job well, does not leave residue and good price for the quality. Thank you!

Great tape with extra functionality

Ankea 16.07.2022

This is my favorite gaffer-ish tape. It feels great, is sturdy and sticks well, and *usually* does not leave residue.
I've only found it to leave behind residue when it's been in use for multiple months, or subjected to high temperatures, and even then it's not nearly as bad of a mess to clean up than many other tapes.

Pro tip: If you forget your mousepad at the office, stick four or five pieces of this bad boy on a table next to eachother and you actually have a surface that a laser mouse reads fantastically well ;)
