One step ahead of competition
I recently purchased the MPC Key G2 and I have to say that I am highly satisfed by the product. it is the perfect tool for building powerful loops in no time. The machine is already victim of its success and many people including myself are already waiting for the next version.
So basically this machine is almost DAW free. You can entirely build a project in the machine. you assemble sequences which are doing your song when they are combined together. then you have the possibility to export it in Ableton. For the finalization you will always go for an Ableton polishing but for the rest you can entirely do it through the MPC Key 37.
This machine is going to change your approach of your workflow. you produce first through the Akai MPC and then you finalize in Ableton environment instead of staying swamped in Ableton trying to make some loops.
Also the MPC is one step ahead of classic DAW for the crafting of the sounds in the sense that they have this functionality called ARTICULATION which is a gathering of several sound design tweeks. So basically you load a bunch of sounds in your pads, you start jamming until you start feeling a loop is done. Then you apply a good layer of sound design using the various filters, Sends etc... and then done.
I don't know how to explain it properly but the fact that you have everything at the same place while focusing on your craft makes it an entire different experience in my view.
WHO is this machine for? => for intermediate range producers who want to produce more crafted loops with higher level of impact and sound design.
For me it was THE perfect match.
However... understand that you need to invest a bit of time in learning how the machine is working but once it is done you start realizing the absolute power of this machine. So if you are a total beginner start by assembling some loops and then progressively expand the workflow while learning the rest of the functionalities of the machine.
Conclusion. HIGHLY APPROVED.
PS. NO ABLETON BUGS !!!!
PPSS. ABLETON it is time for you to start moving because you are going to lose your advantage on the market.

Geniales Allrounder Teil
